WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Guests at the Sullivan Foundation’s Fifth Biennial Awards Dinner will be invited to trace theirroots and share in their African history at the dinner on December 13, 2007 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC (reception 6:00-7:00p.m.; dinner 7:00-10:00 p.m.). The Foundation will partner with African Ancestry to provide DNA testing kits on sale at the dinner.
Attendees will be able to purchase the DNA test kits at a special discounted price of $285 (normal price $349). Another added incentive that night will be a 10% discount for all guests who register to attend “The Summit of a Lifetime” to be held in Arusha, Tanzania June 2-6, 2008. A deposit is required to receive the discount. Payment can be made by creditcard, cash, money order or check.

The Fifth Biennial Sullivan Foundation Awards Dinner will honor individuals and organizations that have been exemplary in their contributions to helping the poor and disadvantaged. The celebratory evening will also serve as a platform to showcase the eighth Summit. H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of Tanzania, Ambassadors Andrew Young and Howard Jeter and Rev. Jesse Jackson will give remarks. Grammy Award winning artists, Boyz II Men in recognition of the guests and to honor the legacy of the late Rev. Sullivan, will give a special musical performance.
