Washington County to wit:
On this 29th day of September A. D. 1957 before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for the county aforesaid, personally appeared William J. Gaszler and made oath in due form of law that Ellen Ridgley and her daughter Mary Jane Logan now present are free persons of color, that he has known them for the last twenty six years, and that they were set free by the last will and testament of Robert Sinclair of Richmond, Virginia.
