Elizabeth Ann Liles, affidavit of freedom

District of Columbia
Washington County, to wit:

On this 31st day of July A. D. 1857 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid personally appeared Elizabeth Ann Hausell and made oath in due form of law that Elizabeth Ann Liles now present is a free person of color aged about twenty one years and was born free and that her mother, Seamus Liles now present, is also free and was so at the tme of the birth of her said daughter Elizabeth.
